- 85 Broads - one woman who began as a genetic researcher, who moved into business and is now a leading woman in the business world
- don't need an Econ or Math major to succeed in business

Investment Options Overview:

ETFs
- exchange traded fund
- like an index fund, diversity, but you can trade it like a stock
- must pay a broker
- no minimum requirement because it is like purchasing stocks
- annual fees are as low as .09% (compared to 1.3% for mutual funds)
- global - buy and sell around the world
- long-term investments

Mutual Funds
- collective investment - pools money from investors and invests in stocks, bonds, etc.
- money is professionally managed
- value of the share of the mutual fund - calculated daily based on the total value of the fund divided by the number of shares
- like a stock in which you purchase a share, but a mutual fund is diversified - lowers risk
- some mutual funds - pay commission
